Over the course of the year, the nation has been monitoring how COVID-19 is affecting business, Central IT are no different. In recent times, more business are returning to their buildings and premises, which is a promising sign. One of the core aspects of Central IT is our excellent on-site visits. All of our clients have benefitted from our professional engineers attending site to resolve physical issues. Just like the virus, IT equipment faults don’t choose who they affect, nor do they take a day off.
We are happy to say that we are still conducting site visits, but there are some precautions both Central IT and customers must take. In the first instance, we will perform all necessary actions remotely before a site visit is planned. This may take shape in the form of our IT experts talking staff members through physical steps to troubleshoot. The safety of our customers, and our staff, are at the forefront of our business.
We kindly ask customers, where possible:
Ask staff to respect social distancing and keep 2 metres from our engineers.
If you have specific procedures or protocols for us to follow, please advise us prior to the site visit.
When attending site, our engineers will perform the specific task they came to carry out. They may not be able to complete additional tasks they were nor previously aware of.
Open windows, ventilation, or good air flow.
Limit number of people in a room, preferably work in a different room.
Central IT engineers when attending site will:
Have undertaken a COVID-19 awareness programme.
Take recommended precautions before and during on-site visits.
Travel to site using individual transport, not public transport.
Have suitable PPE suitable for the visit.
Respect social distancing efforts.
Ensure they are not showing COVID-19 symptoms before starting work that day.
Arrange site visits in advance to prepare precautions and plan the visit.
Sanitise and, where possible, wash hands frequently.
Sign-off work on your behalf.
If circumstances change prior to a site visit, please contact us as soon as possible.
Stay safe, and our Central IT engineer looks forward to seeing you soon!
